Hi, I’m Carla

As a licensed and Board Certified Creative Arts Therapist, proud mom and artist with over 20 years experience working with people from age 3 to 99, I invite you to gain some insight into how art therapy may be of use to you.

We all need help from time to time to achieve a sense of balance and satisfaction. Healing is an active process involving body sensations, emotional expression and understanding our own thought patterns to overcome old beliefs that may no longer serve. Creative activity helps build neuroplasticity to create new connections in the brain. Together, we create an empowering path forward toward meaningful and sustainable change. Therapy is tailored to the individual rather than the diagnosis.

Not just therapy as usual.

What is Creative Arts Therapy?

Creative Arts Therapy uses expressive means to treat emotional, somatic and mental health conditions.

Creative Arts Therapy can help you understand your emotions and learn self-regulation to keep calm and learn to respond rather than to react.

Creative Arts Therapy does not require any artistic ability. We help you channel thoughts and emotions through artistic expression of any kind.

Creative Arts Therapy provides a universal language for communication, within the safe context of connection.
