How do the arts help therapy?
Creative arts therapy can provide a safe container for exploring your inner life—how thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and the nervous system interact.
Experiential practices invite emotional awareness and central nervous system regulation. Within the therapeutic relationship, we learn about what helps the body feel safe. Therapy is tailored to the individual rather than the diagnosis.
When we invite emotion and creativity into the conversation, we can gain perspectives and opportunities for growth. This allows for new connections to form in the frontal cortex, creating healing.
Not just therapy as usual.
