CREATIVE ARTS PSYCHOTHERAPY

Simply talking about problems does not necessarily lead to solutions.

Creative Arts Therapy includes body awareness, understanding emotions and finding direct experiences to challenge habitual ways of thinking and behaving.

How do you know if Creative Arts Psychotherapy is right for you?

  1. Are you frustrated by not getting to the heart of what is bothering you ?

  2. Do you find yourself wondering why things are not getting better?

  3. Is it hard to talk about your feelings or to identify what you are feeling?

  4. Have you tried other kinds of therapy but are looking for something more?

Let’s talk. Better yet, let’s explore together creatively.

KIDS AND TEENS

If you are concerned about your child, talking about the problem may not be enough. Kids learn through play. Art encourages the spontaneity of child’s play where all expression is accepted.

An art therapist who is trained in both art and psychology, uses creative materials to help children explore their thoughts and feelings. Art therapy invites children to name their emotions and find a way to express their experiences creatively. By providing kids a safe place to express their negative feelings and emotions, creative arts therapy has been shown to improve a child’s mental, emotion, and physical well-being.

Art therapy also helps with focus, improved communication and self-esteem.
