ALL SERVICES OFFERED VIA TELE-HEALTH
Keeping ourselves, our loved ones and our neighbors safe is the most important responsibility we have right now.
While it takes some adjustment to engage in psychotherapy online rather than in person, the less we travel and the less people we come into contact, the sooner we will be able to live more freely, safely and comfortably.
The connection we can develop online can be just as profound as during a face to face encounter. Some people have commented that they feel even more comfortable having therapy from the safety and comfort of their own homes.
Until we can safely meet in person, I am offering all services online at this time.
LIFE DURING COVID-19
DURING STRESSFUL TIMES…
2020 has been a year like no other. All of our lives have been affected daily from this pandemic.
Stress affects our nervous systems in ways that are not always immediately apparent. Now more than ever, we need to pay attention to those things that can help us stay calm and have a sense of inner control.
What helps get us through stressful times?
Routine
Mindfulness
Communication
Creativity
Movement
If you have never paid much attention to self-care, now is the perfect time to begin.
Adults and children thrive with structure, we like to know what to expect. Learning simple mindfulness techniques like breathing exercises can help settle down anxious thoughts. Better communication with those around us is important to feel connected and understood. Using our innate creativity helps our ability to problem solve. And moving our bodies is a natural way to reduce stress, whether it is taking a walk or dancing, exercising or stretching.
All of these things are incorporated in creative arts therapy. Whatever your situation is today, know that small changes can make big differences. Start taking care of yourself today.
Be safe. Be well. Be happy.
